Love is.
Last night on the way home from dinner, Bryant and I got to talking about love. More specifically, what it is. We weren't in a romantic or philosophical state of mind, but rather a semi-margarita-induced, high-on-life state of mind. We went back and forth with examples of what love is, and these are the ones that have made me grin today:
Love is not being mad at me when I ate the rest of your Sonic Blast that you left in the freezer.
Love is being comfortable enough with the other person to tell them anything, yet still getting excited when they walk in the door.
Love is Holland (our dog).
Love is holding you down and having Holland lick your face.
Love is watching Desperate Housewives with me.
Love is watching Gladiator with me.
Love is wanting to stop time so that everything stays this good.
Love is the belief that no matter how tight I try to squeeze you, it's never tight enough.
Love is tears in my eyes at the thought of life without you.
Love is a kiss goodnight.
Love is surprising me with breakfast.
Love is knowing you're my #1, even when you have completely pissed me off.
Love is just like the country songs.
Love is having to consciously make an effort to stop thinking about you all day.
Love is pretending that you agree that I am always right.
Love is knowing that I am always right too.
Love is tweeting about you.
Love is taking me seriously every time I have a new life goal/dream/plan.
Love is letting me use your toothbrush when I forgot mine.
Love is picking up your socks when you leave them all over the house.
Love is listening to you complain about picking up my socks when I sometimes leave them around the house.
Love is continuing to tickle me after I seriously tell you to stop.
Love is knowing that whatever happens, all is well if I've got you.
And of course, love is subjective. What is it to you?

When I Have a Bad Day
I look at these guys and can't help but smile.
I am intrigued by the history behind them,
but I also can't help but giggle at their facial expressions.
They look so serious and like real little men just hanging out
with that smirk on their faces for thousands of years.

Shopping on Sunday
I love days when we are still in sweats at 1pm. Dog is wearing a football jersey, the game is on TV, my dream boat is situated cozily next to me, and I have a collection of pretties in my Anthropologie shopping bag. How great are these items?
I Love Sunday.

Great Things
1. Those lovely little basil leaves you see are right out of our garden.
2. We used it to make a tasty pizza that I cooked on the grill. First time using the grill and I am already a master.
Such great things on this lovely Sunday.

Listed.
I love lists. To-do lists, bucket lists, lists on post-its, grocery lists, what-I-want-to-be-when-I-grow-up lists, lists you throw away, wish lists, lists that never end, lists of places to visit, and the list goes on (heh). So when I checked out Christine's pre-marriage bucket list it brought me back to my own list of things I want to achieve at some point during my life. I hadn't looked at the list for awhile, but it was fun to refer back to. And it prompted me to make a few more lists, as follows:
List One - Things Completed From My Former List (Weak.)
1. Knitted a scarf. It wasn't as cool as I thought it would be.
2. Went wine tasting in Napa Valley.
3. Kayaked.

6. Bought a piano. It's the first step to playing it, right?
List Two - Things I'm Happy To Say I Have Done

6. Started cooking more.
7. Bought a super decent bike.
8. Got a promotion.
9. Acquired a taste for red wine. Woo!
10. Got a dog.
List Three - Yet To Do
1. Teach a yoga class. Even if it is in my living room with just one other person.
2. Adore my job. Adore it to pieces.
3. Live in another country for at least three months.
4. Earn my master's degree.
5. Attend The Olympics.
6. Be fluent in Spanish.
7. Have four little ones!
8. Write + publish a book.

Happy Friday Happy October Happy Day
So many things to be happy about.
It's Friday(!), which means I am this close to having playtime, relaxation time, snuggle time, and tea time. A few events thrown into the weekend will give it some excitement, while a messy house and shows to catch up on will allow for ample time in sweats and a regularly whistling tea kettle.
It's October(!), which means I am this close to big chunky sweaters, boots with thick tights, pumpkin patches, and trying out new soup recipes. So far on the list is corn chowder, a tasty chili, broccoli cheddar, and french onion. I can't wait to make + taste!
And it's a day, which means I am alive. Bonus: the sun is shining. Happy!
What's making you happy today?
