Growing up, my absolute favorite dessert was
dirt cake. It was usually my treat of choice for birthday parties. Since I didn't make it home for my birthday this year, I decided to bring some into work. No one at the office had ever had it, and it was beyond a hit!! Definitely a perfect dessert for summer. It's easy, fun, and most importantly deliciosa! Here is the
recipe I use (there are several variations), along with a pic of how mine turned out. You can also add gummy worms and fake flowers to make it even more delightful. Enjoy!
DIRT/OREO CAKE
14 oz. pkg. Oreo cookies
8 oz. cream cheese
2 sm. French vanilla instant pudding
12 oz. Cool Whip
1 c. powdered sugar
3 c. milk
Crush 2/3 Oreos, put in bottom of 9 x 13 pan.
Mix Cool Whip, cream cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl. Mix pudding and 3 cups milk in another bowl. Pour into Cool Whip mixture and fold together well. Pour over cookies. Crush rest of cookies and put on top. Refrigerate and enjoy.
