We spent 6+ hours outside raking the copious amounts of leaves that were still left in the yard from last fall. We started at a decent hour in the morning and forty bags full of leaves, twigs, and dog poo later, we were done. It took some prodding to get me out there at first, but once I got going it was actually really nice. It was mindless, yet productive, and I found it to be rather therapeutic. The rest of the world just drifted away, while we raked up all the leaves, planted tulips, and yes, we did get the Christmas lights down. All that mixed in with frequent frisbee-throwing breaks (Holland was out there helping) made for a lovely Sunday. I'm looking forward to planting a couple gardens, growing some more flowers, and having outdoor dinner parties this summer.
Summer?
Huh?
Someday.
